Nancy Bennison
Chief Executive Officer
Nancy is the CEO of Arts Capital and Director of Ainslie+Gorman. Nancy has had a rich and varied career which has taken her across continents and industries, culminating in her area of passion, the arts. Nancy has worked in executive roles at the National Film and Sound Archive and the Australian National Maritime Museum, securing federal investment and leading strategic reform. Nancy is an energetic, collaborative leader and advocate for the sector. She is all about strong teams, bold ideas and making Canberra just a little bit more fun.

Lachlan Johnson
Chief Operating Officer
Lachlan honed his sharp eye and sharper wit at ANU, with a BA in english literature and art history, plus Honours exploring creative writing and remix culture. Now COO at Ainslie+Gorman, he blends calm leadership, compliance know-how and literary flair to steer heritage projects like our centenary renovation. Also: collector of ties, master punner, problem-solver, and occasional culinary risk-taker.

Pedro Ribas
Chief Financial Officer
Pedro, our CFO, blends Brazilian-Italian flair with 8+ years wrangling numbers at Eneva S.A. (AUD 29.9B*) and Aliansce (AUD 4.1B*). A finance wizard with a knack for clarity and strategy, he’s as sharp with spreadsheets as he is with a tennis serve. Calm, warm, and always caffeinated, Pedro’s financial acumen turns fiscal chaos into calm seas. (*Market cap as at 6 Dec 2023.)

Karl Heath
Venues and Facilities Director
Karl brings 35+ years wrangling venues, logistics, and security across sectors—from Floriade and Cirque du Soleil to UniLodge and the AIS. He’s led WHS-compliant ops for everyone from Lady Gaga to The Wiggles, and once ran a security firm with clients like the Australian War Memorial. Oh, and he’s a certified pastry chef.

Andreo Esguerra
Communications Manager
Andreo is a comms wizard with a pop-culture soul—tripling Google traffic for the Harmonie German Club, ranking in Shopify’s global top 19%, and sealing deals with brands like Victoria’s Secret, Samsung and Johnny Walker. He’s photographed Vogue supermodel Coco Rocha, Miss Universe Catriona Gray, and worked with icons like Lea Salonga* and the Bee Gees. Equal parts chess nerd and brand whisperer, he brings global perspective to Ainslie+Gorman. (*Tony Award-winner + Disney legend.)

Kylie Walsh
Venue Hire Manager
Kylie brings colour, heart and an enviable earring collection to Ainslie+Gorman. With a graduate diploma in arts management and a BA from the University of Sydney, she’s run events with Craft + Design Canberra, Australian Design Centre and more. A fibre artist sold at the Gallery of Small Things and previously a regular at the National Museum of Australia, Kylie connects creatives with warmth, smarts and a stunning smile.

Alison Malmberg
Events and Venue Officer
Alison brings equal parts creative spark and clipboard precision to Ainslie+Gorman. With a knack for wrangling events and building community, she’s helped connect artists and audiences through gigs like Etsy Made Local Canberra. A champion of Canberra’s creative scene, she’s all about good vibes, great logistics and making the magic happen.

Marisa Cartland
Events and Venue Officer
Marisa brings serious venue chops and community heart to Ainslie+Gorman. With a background in the NFP sector and deep roots in Canberra’s arts scene, she’s a DJ, dance facilitator, and—fun fact—Canberra’s first female MC from the 90s hip hop days. Passionate about people, sustainability and rhythm, she keeps the beat steady and the events running smooth.

Jason Burgess
Facilities Coordinator
Jason’s the green-thumbed magician behind Ainslie+Gorman’s lush gardens. A former street artist turned landscape pro, he’s worked on icons like the National Museum of Australia and the National Arboretum, with his favourite project being building a sensory gardens for students with additional needs. He once fronted Canberra band Recipe (hello, triple J!) and studied under airbrush legend Dru Blair with support from artsACT. Quietly brilliant, wildly skilled, and just a top bloke.

Rebecca Worth
Digital Storyteller
Rebecca is our digital storyteller, graphic designer and talkative powerhouse. An ANU School of Art grad in Photomedia and Film, she’s well versed in books and publishing, exhibited at M16 and ANCA, and snapped stills for indie filmmakers. A former darkroom tutor and PhotoAccess resident, she looks for off-script moments to create thoughtful stories about our people and place.
