Ainslie + Gorman Arts Centres are available for studio artists and visitors to use seven days a week. Our administration office hours are 10.00am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, at both centres.

Public Transport

Ainslie and Gorman Arts Centres are both located in Braddon and are easily accessible by public transport. Bus services to Gorman Arts Centre stop on Ainslie Avenue and Doonkuna Street, and Ainslie Arts Centre is accessible via a bus stop on Elouera Street. Walking

Ainslie and Gorman Arts Centres are both located within 5 minutes’ walking distance of each other and less than 10 mins from Canberra’s civic centre and the bustling Lonsdale Street Precinct.

Parking

Short-term parking

There is limited free onsite parking at the front of Ainslie Arts Centre, and metered parking at Gorman Arts Centre. Free on-street parking is available in the surrounding areas with some time-limited spots. For Gorman visitors, all-day paid parking is available at the Canberra Centre, located 500 metres away. Accessible parking is available at both centres.

Accessibility

Both of our Centres have wheel-chair accessible entrances to the main buildings, accessible toilets and have accessible parking options. While our heritage buildings have some access barriers we are working towards creating a more inclusive experience across both centres.

Visitor Guidance

Guide and companion animals are welcome at both centres. We are not permitted to allow pets or other domestic animals on the premises.

Both Ainslie and Gorman Arts Centres are smoke-free environments.

Photography and video recording is subject to the approval of centre management. Please contact our office on 6182 0000 to request permission or enquire about photo opportunities.
