Tom Sherringham


Tom Sherringham has six years of experience guiding guitar students of all ages and levels, from beginners to those preparing for AMEB exams. He offers instruction in both electric and acoustic guitar, believing in an enjoyable and encouraging learning process, whether the focus is on classical techniques, band performance, casual playing, or personal musical enrichment. His flexible approach welcomes students from age six onwards.
He has also facilitated music groups for adults living with a disability and worked in primary schools running music sessions for children with diverse needs.
Tom’s own musical journey began at age seven within a musical family. His extensive performance and recording experience spans diverse genres, including his involvement with bands such as → This Way Orkestra ← Massive Sherlock, The Cat’s Pyjamas : the soul jazz project, Zambezi Sounds, Dollface, and Riders on the Storm – The Doors tribute band. His performance highlights include appearances at the National Multicultural Festival, Africa in the Park (Townsville), Tropfest, Llewellyn Hall, Kambri at ANU and numerous folk festivals.
