After years of writing and recording in the UK, Penelope Trappes is coming to the Ainslie Salon, fresh from her Australian debut at Dark Mofo 2022.

Penelope is a UK-based Australian born vocalist, musician and etherial soundscaper whose music features percussionless, reverb-heavy, haunting atmospherics with themes of dystopia, mortality and epigenetics. Her UK tour in 2021 culminated in a live performance with the London Contemporary Orchestra at London’s Southbank Centre.

‘Summoning the great ghosts of vintage 4AD and Kranky, the Australian singer and producer makes inky dream pop that’s as heavy and welcoming as a weighted blanket.’ – Philip Sherburne, Pitchfork

Listen to her music here:

ALPHAMALE is an experimental solo viola project by Hannah de Feyter. Her work includes Early Music Australia release BOY NOISE // MOTHERS NATURE, sound design for feminist erotica project Four Chambers, and a series of silent film scores highlighting the lost or forgotten contributions of women to the early film industry.=

Box Office and Bar open from 6.30 pm
