  • Dyeing with food waste

  • Dyeing with leaves and flowers

  • Dyeing with natural extracts and powders

  • Using plant and protein fibres

Included in the workshop:

  • 1 x silk scarf to dye

What you need to bring:

  • Closed-toe shoes and water bottle

  • 1-2 small clean, wet white item from home that we can mordant and dye together (preferably silk but can also be cotton, linen, hemp or bamboo). Some suggestions include a tea towel, pillowcase, single top, small t-shirt or any item of similar size.

  • A plastic bag or green bag for taking home your wet fabric.

  • Any plants from home that you’d like to try dyeing with (some suggestions include onion skins, geraniums, roses, hibiscus, lisianthus, delphinium, marigold, cosmos, cornflowers, butterfly pea, eucalyptus leaves.)

This will be an intimate group of 12 people maximum.
